At 61, Paul earned his Master of Science in Project Management degree in October 2022. He plans new his degree to teach at the university level.

PFC Jonathan Roberts had a busy 2022, graduating high school, earning Eagle, and graduating basic training from Paris Island Marine Corps training base.

On December 27, 2023, Eagle Scout David Gosik from Tidewater Council, Blue Heron Lodge, was elected as the 2024 National Chief of the Order of the Arrow.

Evan Beard, son of David Beard and grandson of Douglas Beard was recently honored at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor. This is three generations of Eagle Scouts.

A Coast Guard Academy graduate has retired as a Captain after 28 1/2 years of active duty. He commanded two Coast Guard Cutters and an R&D prototype ship.
